I was so excited to attend the Missoni Show this season after collaborating a few times with the brand during the last year. In a way, it felt like I could finally see what I was working on live, the vibe and the brand itself.

When I arrived, I was amazed to discover a beautiful decorated hall with little Christmas lights and a lot of style. I was honored to meet the founder of Missoni, Rosita Missoni at the show and show my deep appreciation for her wonderful, timeless work. Also, another thing that impressed me about Missoni is the unique way the brand maintains a high end vibe with the attitude of the warm small family that it started from.

The collection this season was full of summer colors, Maxi Skirts, knits and big round earrings. There was a new sporty interpretation Missoni gave this season to their knitwear which I also liked. The collection was cohesive and really pleasant to watch. Another surprise was the beautiful Anna Cleavland who wowed us all in a traditional Missoni geometrical printed jumpsuit and elliptic 70's sunglasses. Check out some of my runway illustrations.

The Versace Fashion Show was definitely one of the most exciting shows I attended this season during Milan Fashion Week. Two of the main reasons for the excitement were the huge hall the show was hosted in and the expected appearance of well known models Naomi Campbell and the sisters, Gigi and Bella Hadid.

Besides these promotional advantages to the show and thousands of street style photographers, I can actually say I had enough interest in the actual collection as well. I especially enjoyed watching the light sporty fabrics on the runway and also the color theme of navy blue, red and a lot of purple.

Lastly, I illustrated the three looks of the runway superstars Gigi, Bella and Naomi and captured their looks from the catwalk. I was truly stunned and surprised by this easy going collection and honestly want the entire collection for myself.

The lovely Beauty Blogger Ashley Waxman showed us her cool style when she flew to NYFW with Maybelline New York and I rushed to sketch her beautiful outfit.
 The IT Girl, Dana Zarmon reminded us how great her style is as she was posing on the New York Fashion Week red carpet.

With NYFW reviling all the new NYC Spring Summer collections last week, I went to a few launches to check what interesting collections are available to wear this season. So which designer wear did I see? what trends are going to lead this September? and finally, which garments did I favor and rush to illustrate? The dress illustrated above is a beautiful Little Black dress I saw at the Maya Negri fashion show I attended. Every time I am invited to Maya's collection launches I arrive with a creative appetite. The innovative designer always knows to turn classics such as the little black dress into sophisticated trendy outfits.  Thus, I am convinced wearing this gorgeous dress is just a perfect move for this fall! It is trendy, classic, and so practical. You can wear it for lunch with a pear of sneakers and than just move quickly at night to high heels.




Lastly, I would like you to take note and remember these two trends. Not only that they are going to rock Fashion Week and your Instagram feed, they are going to take a huge part in your closet.
