CON ART
Model Margo Vered with Host Nona Chalant
Yum!
From the beginning of this event, I was breath taken. Con Art chose a very stylish venue, the Brown
Hotel, to host this very classy event which reflected the magazine’s
sophistication and elegance. Upon
arrival, I was faced with a variety of colorful and tasty desserts as well as a
magnificent view of the city from the hotel rooftop where this event took place.
Con Art Magazine is a new Avante Garde magazine which will feature new and up and coming Artists and Designers. If the event is an indication of what is to come, I have to say that I was extremely impressed by the organization of the event and the presentation of activities during the evening. The beautiful Nona Chalant hosted the launch for Con Art. The live fashion photo shoot was absolutely fascinating and the talented photographer, Shay Kedem recorded this wonderful shoot. While I was watching I felt that I was witnessing art come to life.

Me with Sharon Esther, Founder of Con Art.
During the evening, I spoke to the Founder of the magazine, Sharon Esther. Sharon explained to me that the goal of the
magazine is to connect people who do not have any knowledge of art with a refreshing
and artistic point of view. I strongly feel
that this is something that is really needed in society today since many people
sadly do not have the opportunity to understand and consequently, appreciate
art. Thus, I believe it is very
important to give people a comfortable place where they can learn about art in
a language they can understand in order to give them an avenue to enjoy it,
appreciate it, and see the wonderful ideas that are found in different forms of
art. Furthermore, I also believe that
artists deserve more recognition and this magazine is the perfect tool to bring
the artists closer to the people.

A Beautiful Summer Collection
My Favorite Dress in the collection\ Photo By:PR
Recently, I saw the new summer collection of the designer, Ronen Chen who I had the honor to meet at Tel Aviv Fashion Week. I just absolutely loved some of the pieces in his collection, which were both flattering and innovative. I also loved the way he combined solid colors with geometrical prints. The beads around the neckline were so unique in one of the garments that they increased interest in the garment. In my opinion, many women would find that they look good in this collection since it is so diverse and classic.

My favorite piece in this collection was a black dress with a white print which I featured at the beginning of this post. I think it is very feminine and it would look extremely sophisticated to go out to a fancy event in this dress with a nice pair of pumps. It could also be something to wear with a nice pair of sandals while going shopping.

The garment above is a beautiful, delicate, flowing beach wrap. It is perfect for sitting by the beach enjoying the warm wind and listening to the sound of the waves breaking on the shoreline.
This certainly makes me look forward to the warm, sunny days ahead.
Have a good day and I hope you like this collection as much as I did.

Take note, tie belts are in and add an interesting twist to your outfit. For example, just think about how you can make a plain skirt into something special with a tie belt.

Another item you should add to your wardrobe this season is a colorful envelope clutch since it can make you look even more stylish. Add such an accessory to your jeans and a T-shirt and upgrade your outfit.
Have a fantastic spring and enjoy the fresh style.

ARTISTIC FASHION
Written by Talia Zoref
Art history has always been one of my favorite sources of
inspiration. Whenever I lack an idea or search for a different, new style, I
look at some of the art master pieces from different periods in history. That is one
of the ways I refresh my thoughts with new ideas for shapes, colors, textures,
and compositions. Thus, I put this post together to present some of my innovative
designs which are influenced by some of the world’s most recognizable paintings.
The first design is influenced by the painting, "The Scream"
by Edward Monk. I drew a dress colored
in the same colors of the painting, blue and orange. The colors contrast
and create drama in the piece. Also, following the style of the painting, I tried to keep
the brush strokes visible in my illustration in the same way Monk did. Due to the
strong emotions seen in the painting, I created a dress with a pattern which lots of volume with the
purpose to achieve a theatrical feeling.
"The Scream" by Monk
The second dress I designed was inspired by Kandinsky’s painting, "Yellow
Red and Blue." The painting has a number of various shapes and colors. Here,I wanted
to bring these features to life in my design. Thus, the dress is bright and
has sharp colors such as blue, green, red, and yellow. Also, the dress has an uneven
shape since I wanted to play with the volume of the dress and to reach the same
effect as seen in the painting.
Kandinsky’s painting, "Yellow, Red, and Blue"
The third dress below was inspired by Japanese art which is
extremely different from the western style of art that we are used to seeing. Japanese art always
makes me stop and think because it is so unconventional. I wanted to create an
illustration that is just as mysterious as the Japanese paintings, yet has the same
simplicity and modesty which I find to be unforgettable. The dress I created has a very simple
cut and colors (black and white) although the model’s face is not seen and is
colored in red.

I hope you have a creative and fantastic week.

Also, I wanted to share a couple of other things with you that I am excited about. The first thing concerns the biggest teen magazine in Israel, "Maariv La'noar" which chose to feature me as their "talented reader" and posted my drawing. I am really happy about this. Here is my drawing:
My illustration which was displayed on Maariv La'noar
The second thing that I was really thrilled about and wanted to share with you is that I am working on my first lingerie collection. Guess what ? It is going to be made out of recycled materials. I am going to present it next month as my final art project for my graduating art exhibition. I really hope it is going to be perfect. At the moment, I am working on it and designing it step by step.
