MUSICAL STYLE
Last week, I photographed my friend Sophia who is a beautiful violinist and has a really unique sense of style. Sophia brought some of her favorite garments and jewelry for the photo shoot and I styled and photographed her.
“Her appearance is cool and funky and this
is what I had in mind when I created these looks for her.”
I put together an urban look for Sophie with a touch
of vintage. Sophia loves vintage so I
could not resist. Sophia’s style is a mix
of soft and hard which is reflected in her personality. Sophia plays the
violin, a delicate instrument and at the same time, she has a different kind of
edge to her. Her appearance is cool and
funky and this is what I had in mind when I created these looks for her.
Look number 1
I dressed Sophia in a green velvet skirt with a jean
vest for a fashionable outfit to wear going out with friends for dinner or a movie.
This look will make you feel very chic.
Look number 2
I dressed Sophia with brown corduroy shorts and a
sweater to feel comfortable. This is a geek/chic
look. The boots combined the necklaces complete the outfit and add contrast to
the look by being fashionable, yet still comfortable. The end result is
beautiful and flexible allowing you to wear this either to school, to go to a
concert or other event in the evening.

Look number 3
Sophia is wearing a vintage dress. I mixed this delicate
dress with a jean jacket and some nice snake skin high heels. This could be a perfect outfit for a date or
night on the town.
I asked Sophie a few questions about her
style,
Where did you get these clothes?
The velvet skirt is an amazing purchase from EBay.
I stole the sweater from my Dad’s closet.
My mom gave me the lace shirt.
I bought my dress from a secondhand fashion fair called “Space Ground.” I think this fair is totally cool.
I bought the jean vest at the”Pull and Bear” store.
I got the corduroy shorts at a second hand store in Tel Aviv. The earrings are from “Top Ten.”The boots are actually my mother’s boots.

What inspires your style?
My
mood guides my fashion inspiration. Every day when I wake up, I ask myself what
I want to look like today. I think about what look I want to create today.

What is your favorite item in your
closet?
The ultimate look for me changes every day. It depends on what I want to express.
What item do you think is a must have in
every girl’s closet?
I know that most girls would say you must have a pair
of jeans, but I am different. I think
every girl should have an ugly garment which no one would ever dream of wearing.
That in my view is a must have in my
closet.

Sophie, in my opinion is a very unique and special
person. Her individual style and
personality stands out in a crowd.
I hope you enjoyed reading about Sophia’s
distinctive style. Have a good week and
I hope that the profile featured today helps stimulate your creativity to
develop your own unique style.
